Fish Tacos

When the weather warms up and the sun beckons us outside, food can be light, fresh and simple. These crispy fish tacos with our flavourful fish rub seasoning are the perfect dish for those relaxed days at the beach and Mediterranean summer evenings.


Not only are these tacos quick to prepare, they also make a real visual impact on the plate. Whether you're enjoying a cosy dinner on the balcony or hosting the next barbecue party with friends. The secret ingredient? Our fish rub mix!

 

What you need:


  • 2-3 tsp 1001 Organic Fish Rub
  • 4 small tortillas, e.g. corn or wheat tortillas
  • 100 g cabbage, finely chopped, e.g. white cabbage or red cabbage
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 avocado, sliced or diced
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Optional: a handful of coriander, fresh, chopped
  • Optional: 2-3 tbsp yoghurt or sour cream to serve

 

Steps:


Rub the fish fillets generously with the 1001 Organic Fish Rub. Leave them to stand for about 15 minutes so that the spices are well absorbed.


Heat a pan over a medium heat and add a little oil. Place the marinated fish in the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked and lightly golden brown. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fish fillet.


Heat the tortillas briefly in a dry pan or in the oven until they are soft and warm. Top the warm tortillas with the fried fish. Top with the cabbage, diced tomato and avocado. Garnish with fresh coriander if desired.


Serve the tacos with lime wedges and yoghurt or sour cream. Drizzle with lime juice if desired.
